Frequently Asked Questions
-
The earlier you begin, the more opportunities your student has to prepare intentionally. We recommend starting in 9th or 10th grade so we can help with course selection, extracurricular planning, goal setting, and building a strong foundation for college admissions. That said, it's never too late to start, and we also work with students who begin in 11th or 12th grade.
-
Starting early allows students to make informed decisions throughout high school instead of trying to catch up during their junior or senior year. We help students develop a personalized plan, explore their interests, build meaningful experiences, and stay on track so the college application process feels less overwhelming later on.
-
No, we believe students should tell their own stories in their own voice. We teach students how to write their essays using a proven, proprietary method that over 1,000 students have successfully used for admission to highly competitive universities.
-
Meeting frequency is personalized based on each student's grade level, goals, and where they are in the college planning process. Some students benefit from more frequent meetings during application season, while others meet less often during earlier planning stages. We'll recommend a schedule that's appropriate for your student's needs.
-
Every student has different goals, strengths, and questions. We tailor each session to the student's individual needs based on their academic history, interests, personality & career inventories, and more. Our guidance evolves with your student as they progress through high school.
